New Mexico should eliminate its personal income tax.
New Mexico taxes personal income at graduated rates, and the tax is one of the state's main revenue sources along with the gross receipts tax and oil and gas revenue. Eliminating it would cut taxes for earners and require other revenue or spending changes.

I do believe that the personal income tax in the state needs to be eliminated. That's going to make sure we stay competitive with the states around us.
