Independent and nonpartisan
VoteVera is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, funded by, or coordinated with any candidate, campaign, party, PAC or government, and it does not endorse anyone. It exists so voters can compare candidates on the ideas first, with the evidence in plain view.
The iPhone app goes further: it hides every name while you mark the statements, then lets you open one sealed envelope per race to see who you match. Your answers stay on your phone.
Corrections
Every candidate and campaign has the same access and the same rules. Anyone, including a campaign, can challenge a finding with the Challenge button on that finding, or by email at hello@votevera.com.
- A correction needs a public source: a link and the exact words. A private message alone is not a source.
- We aim to decide within 48 hours.
- Every accepted change is logged with the date and the reason, and the ruling is shown on the finding it decides.
- A stance never changes without a citable source.
How AI is used
Research, verification and draft rulings are done with Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic. People approve rulings and review findings. Every finding says whether a person has reviewed it yet. See the methodology for the details.
