The U.S. should keep broad tariffs on imported goods.
Tariffs are taxes paid on imported goods. Since 2025 the U.S. has applied tariffs to imports from most countries, and this statement is about keeping them in place.

In the short term, that causes disruptions, and that stinks. So there should be short-term bridge assistance to farmers to get through those disruptions. But in the long term, we need to focus on what works for all of you in the long term, and that is trade agreements all over the world.
