Minnesota should scale back its paid family and medical leave program.
Since 2026, Minnesota's paid leave program has given workers paid time off, funded by a payroll premium. Scaling it back would reduce benefits or the premium.

Paid family medical leave is a mandate that is put on every business, every county, every city, every school district. ... I think the main thing is allowing that flexibility when people and businesses and schools are really having a hard time making ends meet.
I had a chance to talk with my school districts, all six of the districts that I represent... and there was great concern over this bill.
