The U.S. should keep broad tariffs on imported goods.
Tariffs are taxes paid on imported goods. Since 2025 the U.S. has applied tariffs to imports from most countries, and this statement is about keeping them in place.

Although the jury is still out on this, tariffs may be an effective tool, especially when used in a targeted, strategic manner to push back and to protect Illinois farmers and manufacturers from unfair competition.
