Abortion laws should be set by each state rather than by Congress.
Since the Supreme Court's 2022 Dobbs decision, each state sets its own abortion laws. Agreeing means Congress should not pass a national law that either expands or restricts access.

The Supreme Court has ruled abortion is a state issue. I'm running for federal office. Like Sens. Josh Hawley of Missouri and Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, therefore, I believe we must abide by the US Constitution and leave it to states to decide abortion issues.

Illinois's abortion laws are different than Alabama abortion laws. And I think that's the way it should be.
