Idaho should accept out-of-state spent nuclear fuel to host a federal nuclear research campus.
Idaho is competing to host a federal nuclear lifecycle campus that would bring investment and jobs to the area near Idaho National Laboratory. The deal would require the state to accept shipments of spent fuel and radioactive waste, which a 1995 agreement sought to limit.
