Connecticut should repeal its limits on local police cooperation with federal immigration agents.
Connecticut's Trust Act limits when state and local police can hold people or share information for federal immigration agents. Repealing those limits would let local agencies cooperate more broadly.

I think that the governor was wrong and radical in tying the hands of state and federal law enforcement in communicating with federal authorities in the case of people who are here illegally, who have been convicted of Class C, D and E felonies like manslaughter and sexual abuse.
