Alaska should repeal its open top-four primary and ranked-choice general election.
Since 2022, Alaska has used a single open primary in which the top four candidates advance to a ranked-choice general election. A repeal would return to party primaries and single-choice general elections.
Dave Bronson
Former Anchorage Mayor Dave Bronson, a Republican who came in third in the primary, said the system was brought in under "false advertising" and encouraged voters to vote yes in November.
