Alaska should pay the full Permanent Fund Dividend set by the original statutory formula.
In recent years lawmakers have paid dividends well below the amount the original state law formula would produce. Paying the full formula amount would increase checks but require more spending from the Permanent Fund or cuts elsewhere.

I believe we must be fiscally realistic about the PFD, and that it's irresponsible to pay a large PFD that literally spends down the Permanent Fund itself
